The culmination of all the processes for the sale of the KFC business in Russia was announced in a press release by the former owner of the restaurants, the American holding company Yum! brands.

The deal includes all KFC restaurants in Russia, franchise rights, the company’s operating system and Rostic’s trademark Yum! brands.

The buyer, represented by Smart Service, will lead the rebranding process for the chain’s restaurants, which was announced in August 2022. It was clarified that after the completion of the rebranding of Yum! The brands will completely leave the Russian market.

The former Russian subsidiary of the American Yum! Brands – LLC “Unirest” – in January of this year, applied to Rospatent for an application for registration of the Rostic trademark.
