Commercial music service Cubic Music has launched the Cubic Play app with licensed music specifically for small businesses. Use of the catalog is legal and does not require additional royalties, a Cubic Music representative told RB.RU.
At first, users have access to more than 20 playlists of genres with an average duration of 7 hours each: from rock, pop and jazz to chill out, ambient and bossa nova. The content of the playlist will be updated.
According to Dmitry Yakovlev, head of audio solutions at Cubic Media, existing music services prefer to work with large clients and do not pay attention to small businesses – small restaurants, cafes near the metro.
“We decided to go into this niche and create a simple and affordable solution for a small business. We have also developed a legal construction, in which users receive the service in the way they are used to, as well-known music streaming services do, ”said Yakovlev.
What is the difference between Cubic Play and other solutions on the market:
- To connect, it is enough to go through authorization by telephone number and TIN of the organization.
- The app can be downloaded to a smartphone and tablet or use the web version, register and use it by connecting via Bluetooth to the living room speakers or using a cable.
- Payment is possible with an individual’s card, which, according to a Cubic Music representative, is the only offering on the market.
For new users, Cubic Play introduces one month free trial period. Then the fixed cost of a new subscription will be 890 rubles per month (or 699 rubles if paid for the year).
