The main shareholder of the Russian legal entity under the new brand FAC.С.T. remains the founder of the Group-IB Ilya Sachkov.
FAC.CT stands for Fight Against Cybercrime Technologies, the company will continue to provide cybersecurity services in the same scope and create high-tech solutions for cyberattack prevention, fraud detection, cybercrime investigation, and intellectual property protection on the network. .
Manage FAC.CT there will be a top manager Valery Baulin – previously held the post of regional director of Group-IB. Baulin will be responsible for the company’s strategy in Russia and the CIS, entry into new markets, as well as the sustainable financial development of the business.
Group-IB decided to create a fully autonomous structure, which will be managed by the Russian administration and will focus on the Russian and CIS market, in July 2022.
The company was reported to have decided to separate Russian and international assets in order to gain “more market freedom and speed up business development in all regions of Group-IB’s presence.”
