Yandex has registered a legal entity Yandex Self Driving Group Inc. in the state of Texas. This is evidenced by a document on the website of the state inspector, which came to the attention of TASS.
Texas became the third state where Yandex Self Driving Group received registration. The company is represented in Michigan and Massachusetts, and Yandex Self Driving Group was established in Delaware in 2020.
The principal in Michigan and Massachusetts is the company’s independent CEO, John Boynton. The registration of Yandex Self Driving Group in Texas Austin took place on December 9, 2022, according to the documents.
Yandex Self Driving Group is a subsidiary of the Dutch Yandex NV. The company specializes in unmanned vehicles and develops software for such vehicles. Early last year, Yandex halted road tests of unmanned vehicles in Michigan.
Currently, Yandex is in the process of restructuring, the Russian and foreign businesses of the IT corporation are being separated.
In March, it became known that the company’s management began a detailed discussion on possible separation scenarios.
