The structures of former Communications Minister Leonid Reiman intend to launch production of consumer smartphones, tablets and laptops in 2023. The devices will have their own ROSA operating system. Its assembly in Zelenograd will be in charge of Rutek. In the future, it is planned to supply electronic products to the corporate and government segments.
In 2024, the company will apply for the inclusion of these devices in the register of hardware and software systems of the Ministry of Digital Development, Kommersant learned.
Initially, the equipment will be intended for the state and business sector, and later it will be able to enter the consumer segment. A source close to Rutek added that the mobile operating system has its own marketplace, which contains about 10 apps, which he did not name.
Another interlocutor of the newspaper suggested that Rutek could start joint production with F + tech, the latter in April already announced the launch of production of smartphones and tablets on Aurora OS in Kaliningrad.
