While the ability to send files up to 2 GB is finally being tested on the messaging platform, WhatsApp is working with another innovation: display of estimated time for uploading shared files in a conversation or group.

In a way, this innovation is essentially tied to the first one, because even if the device in question is connected to a Wi-Fi network, sending heavier files should actually take longer in the app.

Beta version already rolled out news

by portal WABetaInfoThe beta version of the app was available to desktop testers about a month ago, but only appeared on iOS and Android platforms last week.

Screenshots from the tests, just below the filename, show the percentage of progress and estimated wait time in the content message sent.
