According to the head of the company, a full-fledged Cruise robotic taxi network should soon appear in other cities of the United States.

Recall that Cruise was founded in 2013. Backed by General Motors, the company has made significant strides towards expansion in its home country of California over the past decade.

Services that started in San Francisco have since expanded to Phoenix, Arizona and more recently Austin, Texas.

In February 2023, Cruise CEO and co-founder Kyle Vogt said the company had surpassed 1 million miles without driver.

It’s worth noting, however, that all of San Francisco is only available to company employees for travel. For ordinary residents, only about a third of the city’s land is available between 10 pm and 5:30 am. Vogt added that 24-hour cruises for the public will be available “very soon”.
