Sony announced that as of March 31, 2023, it has managed to sell 38.4 million PlayStation 5 consoles worldwide. In the last three months to this date, 6.3 million devices were shipped, an increase of 4.3 million compared to the same period last year.
In addition, Sony announced that the number of subscribers to the PlayStation Plus service has reached 47.4 million people. This is the same as at the end of March 2022. In total, PlayStation Network has 108 million monthly active users, 2 million more than in 2022.
The report also states that 68 million PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 games were sold during this period, down 2.5 million from the same period last fiscal year.
