At least five US government websites were found to provide unrestricted access to sensitive data such as social security numbers, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and bank account numbers. Huntington Bank has also been subject to data breaches involving names, addresses, social security numbers, job titles, IP addresses, average monthly salaries and loan amounts.
Salesforce Community, the cloud-based software that organizations use to build websites, can be configured to limit access to sensitive data to only authorized personnel.
