Although herring contains many beneficial substances, the high sodium chloride content in fish makes its excessive consumption unhealthy.

Koroleva noted that fish dishes, including herring, are rich in proteins that are well absorbed by the body. Herring contains omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K.

It is especially useful for people with lipid disorders, prone to weight gain, workaholics and insomnia.

However, the doctor warned against the daily use of this fish. Because this approach can be harmful, especially for people with hypertension and kidney disease, due to the high amount of sodium chloride.
