The trading volume on the Moscow Stock Exchange more than doubled in April. The best growth dynamics was shown by the volume of transactions with bonds, which increased 3.3 times. The total trading volume on the site reached 90.3 trillion rubles at the end of the month.

Trading volume on the Moscow Stock Exchange doubled in April

Moscow Stock Exchange summarized the results of trading in April this year. Compared to April 2022, the total trading volume across all markets on the site increased by 2.6% to 90.3 trillion rubles.

The trading volume on the stock market more than doubled to 3 trillion rubles. The number of operations with bonds grew the most: 3.3 times to 1.4 trillion rubles. Trading on the stock market grew by 58.8% to 1.6 trillion rubles, the derivatives market increased by 20.8% to 5 trillion rubles.

The Moscow Stock Exchange also noted that the trading volume on the precious metals market increased in April year-on-year by 8.7 times and amounted to 40.2 billion rubles.

At the same time, the foreign exchange market showed negative growth dynamics: the total volume of currency transactions on the Moscow Stock Exchange amounted to 21.9 trillion rubles against 22 trillion rubles in April 2022.
