Apple has published a new support document that talks about the appearance in firmware 5B66 for Beats headphones.

Among the applications, the company closed a dangerous vulnerability that extended to access to headphones and bugged more often around them. Here’s how Apple’s error went:

Available for: Powerbeats Pro, Beats Fit Pro

Impact. When your headphones request a connection to one of the previously discovered devices, Bluetooth in-range detection can tamper with the intended source device and gain access to your headphones.

Description: An authentication issue has been resolved by improving the management status.

CVE-2023-27964: Yun-hao Chung and Archie Pusaka from Google

The issue also affected all AirPods, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max except for the first generation AirPods, but Apple fixed the issue with firmware 5E133.
