The US Treasury approves the sale of Beeline to Veon holding company

It is explained that the license that authorizes the participation of US persons in the transactions required for the sale was issued on April 15.

In addition to the United States, the necessary permits were issued by the authorities of Great Britain and Bermuda, the text says. At the same time, it is not planned to obtain a license from the European Union.

“Veon does not believe that an EU license is required to carry out the sale,” says the holding company.

The company announced plans to sell VimpelCom in November. The agreement on the purchase of the asset was signed by the top managers of Beeline. Under the agreement, the holding company will receive 130 billion rubles from the sale. According to the plan, the transaction should be completed before June 1.

Yesterday it became known that Vimpelcom sold its Kazakh business to the Veon holding company for 54 billion rubles.
