To combat such a large-scale fraud, the UK government has announced the creation of a special department to include 500 employees. Now 120 people are involved in this problem.
The department will specifically check for spam calls related to cryptocurrencies and financial products, including insurance. Calling cold customers will be banned, even for legitimate companies.
