According to popular insider Digital Chat Station, the main camera of the base model of the smartphone will be equipped with a new 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch sensor.
Despite users’ assumption that it could be the Sony IMX707, an insider denied this information, pointing out that we are expecting a sensor that has not been seen anywhere before.
As for the older model (Xiaomi 14 Pro or 14 Ultra), a 1-inch IMX9xx sensor is attributed to it. So far, the exact sensor model is unknown, and it could be the already familiar 50-megapixel IMX989 or something completely new, for example IMX999.
More information about the Xiaomi 14 series can be obtained closer to the autumn, when the official announcement is expected. At the same time, earlier on the Internet there were rumors about the periscope camera of the top model, as well as the possibility of installing a 100-megapixel and even 200-megapixel telephoto lens.
