Wildberries will change the sales commission for sellers based on their qualification. “Good” sellers, that is, those with a high customer rating, will have their commission reduced, while “bad” sellers with a low rating, on the contrary, will have their commission increased.
Wildberries has begun testing a variable commission option for merchants, the company said.
For sellers with a high rating from buyers (4.9 points or more), the marketplace will reduce the commission on sales at a level of 1%. Sellers with a low customer rating (3.5 points or less), on the contrary, the sales commission will be increased by a level of 1%.
“This approach will allow Wildberries to further reward entrepreneurs with the highest quality products and better customer interaction,” the company noted.
The variable commission rate will apply to all sellers, regardless of the category from which they sell products.
