Also, people with diabetes often take medications that cause dry mouth and reduce saliva production. This, in turn, can contribute to the deterioration of the oral cavity.

There are several symptoms associated with diabetes that occurs in the mouth. These are red, swollen or bleeding gums, receding gums, receding gums, loose teeth, enlarged spaces between teeth, dry mouth, bad breath when brushing teeth.
