Pavel Korostelev, head of the product promotion department of the Security Code company, told Lente.ru that Internet scammers learned new ways to deceive Russians with the help of chatbots.

The scammers have improved the literacy of phishing links (addresses that threaten to lose data or money if tracked) with the help of language models. The expert explains that users are more likely to click on a link that leads to a page with excellent text and malware. Korostelev advises not to follow suspicious links – messages from banks and other services come only through official applications.

The IT specialist has now warned that hackers have created encryption viruses and browser plug-ins that can steal passwords and card data with the help of chatbots. Therefore, users should not store their data in the browser’s memory. They also play on the popularity of language models. But Korostelev warns that any “special offer” should automatically attract attention.
