The main criteria for choosing vacation time for most are the season, weather, ticket prices and tours. However, not everyone knows that the relationship between salary and vacation pay may differ in different periods. In this case, the difference is significant. Dmitry Puchkov, the development director of the Avito Rabota platform, told RB.RU when it is more profitable to take a vacation so as not to miscalculate.

Russians were told when it is more profitable to go on vacation in the summer.

According to the expert, August is the most profitable month for a summer vacation from an economic point of view.

The amount of vacation pay depends on the average daily earnings, which is calculated by dividing the annual salary by the number of working days in a year, and then by the average number of days in a month (29.3 days).

The number of working days in a month directly affects the amount of salary, but not the amount of vacation pay. In August 2023, there will be 23 business days, allowing you to earn more before or after the holidays.

If additional days off are more important than financial gain, then you should choose months with a large number of vacations. They are not included in the vacation and are not paid, but they make it possible to increase the duration of the rest. June is one of those months in the summer, notes Dmitry Puchkov.

The specialist also recalled that paid leave can be taken six months after employment. It is important to choose responsible employers who pay vacation pay on time and deduct any necessary contributions.
