As a result of the attack, messages and files exchanged with Discord support were known as well as users’ email addresses.

Discord took immediate action by disabling the hacked account and running a malware scan on the affected machine. They’ve also worked with their customer service partners to prevent similar incidents in the future.

While Discord believes the risk is limited, it urged users to be alert to any suspicious activity or messages, including possible fraud or phishing attempts.
