ARC Automotive, Inc. These inflators were used in vehicles manufactured for the US market for 18 years until January 2018. It was supplied to six airbag manufacturers and included in modules used by at least 12 automakers.

NHTSA has listed nine cases, including one fatal, in which inflators exploded, injuring passengers. The agency highlighted the risk posed by these defective inflators, as they could eject metal fragments instead of properly inflating the airbag.
