The lawsuit concerns Russian bloggers who have suffered losses over the past three years by investing in targeted ads on ex-Facebook. However, bloggers cannot use the service because Meta has restricted their activities in Russia.

“The court has satisfied our class action lawsuit against Meta and has recovered 4.5 million rubles from the company,” said lawyer Valeria Rytvina, founder of the bloggers’ council.

* The organization is recognized as an extremist, its activities are prohibited on the territory of Russia.
