Nvidia announced its arrival this Thursday (18) RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti. The video cards were introduced on May 24 as entry-level models from the Ada Lovelace architecture and cost-benefit segment to attract users.
Both models retain the standard features of other GPUs released in recent months, such as the RTX 4090, 4080 and 4070. Optimized Ray Tracing and DLSS 3 (Deep Learning Super Sampling)which creates intermediate frames to give more performance in the game.
RTX 4060
Created specifically to run games in Full HD, the RTX 4060 will launch for US$299 (US$1.5k), which is US$30 cheaper compared to the RTX 3060 released a few years ago.
Unfortunately, Nvidia did not reveal many official GPU specs. However, we know that this model will have 15 Teraflops of power 115 W consumption with (Floating Points) and 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM.
While the architecture between the RTX 30 and 40 series has improved exponentially, there is a 4GB VRAM reduction from the 3060 to the 4060. play games – and still no results on this. Either way, this amount should be the right balance for 1080p gaming.
In comparisons provided by the company, 4060 has 1.2x more performance than its predecessorhowever, this advantage increases to 1.7x when the Frame Generation feature of DLSS 3 is activated.
RTX 4060 Ti
On the other hand, the RTX 4060 Ti has slightly higher specs. This model will also be available with 8 GB, but highlight should be 16GB versionIt costs US$499 (R$2.5k). Interestingly, this card is also sold as a GPU for Full HD, not 1440p like the last generation.
The specs are already available here, and there’s a pretty worrying gap between the 4060 Ti and the 4070. CUDA core count is 4,352 (vs 5,888), 192-bit memory interface, clock speed of 2.3Ghz, and a total power of 22 Teraflops (vs 29 for 4070).
