Almost half (49%) of Microsoft employees are wary of their jobs due to the development of artificial intelligence (AI), writes Gizmochina, citing a company report.
At the same time, the document focuses on the potential of AI to simplify work and reduce digital debt.
Digital debt is a massive onslaught of emails that employees don’t have time to respond to, a plethora of meetings and notifications that require feedback. According to the survey, employees spend up to 57% of their working time on all of this. Therefore, very few resources remain for the creative aspect of the activity.
According to the survey results, 64% of employees try to allocate time to their main work and responsibilities. This leads to a decrease in their creativity and negatively affects the business as a whole.
68% of those surveyed complained that due to constant meetings, coordination problems in work chats and the need to search for information, the workday becomes heavier.
The company believes that artificial intelligence can optimize a number of processes so that employees can focus on innovation and strategic thinking.
Earlier, the largest investment bank, Goldman Sachs, predicted that the development of ChatGPT and AI in general could affect up to 25% of jobs in developed economies.
