According to posts on Reddit and Microsoft support forums, updates released in May 2023 will interrupt or slow the VPN connection, which negatively affects other features such as remote desktop connectivity.
Some users stated that the unknown error only affects their Wi-Fi connection, and computers connected to the internet with a cable continue to work without any problems with the VPN.
Microsoft representatives have already commented on the situation, acknowledged it, and said that the company’s experts are working on a solution.
Unfortunately, no workaround has been offered yet, so for those experiencing VPN connection issues, the only option is to uninstall failed updates or wait for a fix from Microsoft.
