Researchers have turned to electric shocks as a potential solution to sexual dysfunction. During the study, two round electrodes were placed on the clitoris of the women and electrical impulses were applied to the dorsal pudendal nerve for 30 minutes.
The results were promising as participants reported a significant increase in libido after stimulation. Reassuringly, the subjects reported no side effects.
Scientists believe that repeated use of this stimulus can have a long-term effect in solving the problem of sexual dysfunction. However, more research is needed to fully understand the extent of these effects and to optimize the application of electrical discharges.
But first, keep in mind that this research is still at an early stage and the potential benefits and risks need to be further studied before wide application can be considered. And secondly, don’t do this at home.
