The integration of ChatGPT into the Bing search engine has increased its popularity: in China it has become the most popular search service, displacing the Chinese Baidu from the first line. According to the latest data, Bing is used by 37.4% of Chinese residents.
Microsoft’s Bing search engine has overtaken its Chinese counterpart Baidu to become the most popular search engine in China. This is confirmed by the Statcounter study from April this year.
Bing’s share has grown significantly: according to analysts, 37.4% of people in China use it. Baidu moved into second place with a 27% share. Russian “Yandex” took fourth place with a share of 7.45%.
Bing gained popularity in China thanks to its integration with ChatGPT. Microsoft recently added chatbot features to the search engine. Previously, Bing started using the GPT 3.5 language system and later switched to the enhanced GPT-4.
