The government commission on legislative activities did not support the New People party’s bill, which provides for a postponement of mobilization for sole proprietors, sole participants in LLCs and heads of peasant farms. This is reported by Vedomosti with reference to two participants in the meeting.

Government did not support a bill to shield mobilization for businessmen

Deputies from the Pueblo Nuevo party made a proposal to provide businessmen with a mobilization reserve in January. Faberlic founder Alexey Nechaev is among the authors of the initiative.

The report of the commission, which has read the publication, notes that there are already many reasons for the delays, which are reflected in the law “On the preparation of mobilization and mobilization in the Russian Federation”, as well as in the decrees of the head of state.

The government considered the initiative of parliamentarians redundant, noting that “reserved” citizens are already receiving a delay.

Introducing the draft law “On amending Article 18 of the Federal Law “On the preparation and mobilization of mobilization in the Russian Federation”, its authors noted that, according to the current rules, individual entrepreneurs do not enter in the category of people who are entitled to a postponement, which, in turn, puts their businesses and jobs at risk.

According to one of the authors of the initiative, the head of the New People faction, Vladislav Davankov, the party has not yet received a response from the commission.

“If the review is really like this, we will still seek the consideration and approval of our bill,” the deputy emphasized.

Davankov also pointed out that as part of the partial mobilization for military service in one way or another, 27 thousand businessmen and only 1.3 thousand civil servants were summoned (data from the end of last year). At the same time, it is employers who provide jobs.

On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on partial mobilization in the country. At the same time, the state exempted representatives of certain specialties working in reputable IT companies from being sent to the combat zone.
