Markets plan to grant tax agent status to pay tax fees for sellers; now the vendors do it themselves. The Federal Tax Service does not see the need to change the legislation, but a bill on the tax status of markets is already being prepared.
Markets may soon receive fiscal agent status. This was told to Kommersant by the head of the Federal Tax Service, Daniil Yegorov. According to him, the corresponding bill is already being prepared, but the Federal Tax Service does not yet see the need to amend the legislation.
Now the sellers in the markets pay taxes on their own. The self-employed, for example, declare each sale separately in the My Tax service. The essence of the initiative is to force marketplaces to pay taxes for sellers who sell products on their sites.
According to the lawyers, giving the markets the status of fiscal agents will require changes in the laws. If an individual entrepreneur operates under a simplified tax system (income minus expenses), it will be difficult to calculate the tax base, since the market records only income, and the expense is unknown to him.
