According to the document, all IT companies and social networks operating in the EU are required to regularly report on their work to combat the spread of online disinformation. Twitter refused to follow this code.

But the regulator emphasizes that the obligation to provide reliable information about the origin of the social network has not disappeared – this moment will be strictly regulated by new rules for regulating the EU’s digital space, which will come into force in August.
