The new Apple Pencil won’t be the only device the company announces this October. At least that’s what Mac Gurman suggests. Bloombergwho reported in his weekly news release that Apple plans to announce a new Mac before the end of the month; including, finally, the new iMac.
According to Gurman, the company could announce new Macs on October 30 or 31. One of them would be update 24″ iMac which Apple introduced in 2021. While Apple hasn’t confirmed anything on the matter, the aforementioned journalist claims that there is a “clear signal” pointing to an imminent launch; Some Mac configurations may not be available for purchase until November.
This new 24 iMac may come with new M3 chip, which will be produced on a 3nm silicon process, making it more efficient and effective than its predecessor, the M2 chip. Considering that the current 24-inch Mac is powered by the M1 chip, we could see a noticeable performance boost in this new version.

The 24-inch iMac may not be the only Mac that Apple will update on October 30 or 31. We could also see two new MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inches with new M3 Pro and M3 Max chips.
Apple is also working on the iMac Pro: it will be the Mac with the largest screen in its history.
Gurman also previously reported that the company has yet to announce a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with an M3 chip, which will upgrade the current model to the M2, or a new MacBook Air, also 13-inch, with an M3 chip. more power than the current version. However, the Bloomberg journalist is now highlighting that these Macs could be announced in 2024.

Expect the iMac Pro to include 32″ screen, making it the largest Mac in the company’s history. However, it is unclear which processor it will include, but it is likely that it will include the M3 Pro and M3 Max chip, which could be announced during 2024. Or M3 Ultra; the processor has so far been intended for Mac Studio and Mac Pro.
