Apple’s Scary Fast event unveiled the new M3 family of chips, the new MacBook 14 and MacBook 16, and the refreshed iMac 24—all computers that feature the most powerful chips Apple has ever made.

But a detail that may have gone unnoticed is the camera this presentation was filmed on (strictly 30 minutes).

Can you guess?

Well: it wasn’t that difficult!

Some of us will still have differing opinions on which phone has the best camera, but Apple is very, very clear: there is no better camera in the world than the iPhone 15 Pro Max, especially when it’s shot in 4K.

The truth is that we ourselves have enjoyed this camera like few others, and we find it difficult to find any objections to it. But it’s still amazing that an entire professional team of record labels worked on these three lenses that so many of us have in our pockets.

Apple has confirmed that all the presenters, locations, and even the drone footage were shot on iPhone by an elite team of filmmakers.

Let’s remember one thing: on iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, the new USB-C connector enables professional workflows that were simply not possible before.

This means you can create ProRes videos at up to 4K resolution at 60fps and transfer them directly to an external drive, providing a number of benefits that were previously unimaginable using the Lightning connector. The USB-C port increases data transfer speeds up to 20 times. Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max support Log encoding for even more flexibility in post-production, not to mention they’re the world’s first smartphones to support the Academy Color Encoding System (ACES).

If you’re lucky enough to have an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max with you, it might be helpful to think about all of this. This is exactly what I did all morning.
