iPhone 15 Pro was chosen as the smartphone with the best camera of 2023
While the iPhone 15 Pro is the smartphone with the best camera of the year for Marques Brownlee, another iPhone 15 manages to sneak into his award list.

Welcome to the Smartphone Awards 2023. A large number of smartphones are released every year and this year is no different. We have all kinds of shapes, sizes, features and budgets; lots of phones. Just like clockwork, you can count on me to pick a few favorites in each of the categories I’ve divided them into at the end of the year. This is a round-up of some of the best and worst phones of 2023, in my opinion. I always know I will get criticism in some categories; I’m sure I’ll hear about it in the comments, and that’s okay, but these are my choices and I’m sticking with them.
iPhone 15 wins best camera and best battery award
First prize won by an Apple device The award for the best camera in a smartphone was given to the iPhone 15 Pro. Interestingly, it is not the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which has the same camera system but with telephoto zoom reaching 5x.
The second award won by Apple is The award for best battery in a smartphone went to the iPhone 15 Plus in this case. Apple’s large and affordable terminal is one of the most battery-packed terminals5, boasting a 100-hour battery life for audio playback, with no other model lasting that long.

This year Marques Brownlee gave awards in 10 different categories where the brand network in the market is available. Apple won two awards, both with the iPhone 15. These are this year’s categories:

- Best small smartphone: Asus Zenfone 10
- Best camera: iPhone 15 Pro
- Best value for money: Samsung Galaxy A54
- Best battery: iPhone 15 Plus
- Best Design: Honor Magic V2
- Best foldable: One Plus Open
- Most Optimized: Nothing Phone 2
- Worst smartphone of the year: Solana Saga
- MVP: Google Pixel 8
Apple managed to include winners include two of their new iPhoneswhich isn’t bad at all. It is the only company that has achieved this together with Samsung. However, it failed to win important titles like best large smartphone with the iPhone 15 Pro Max or MVP.
