Xiaomi Civi 4 received certification from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The handset is only supposed to be launched in the country equipped with mid-range hardware.

In September 2023, the possible number of Xiaomi Civi 4 was published on the internet: 24031PN0DC. The same code was recently found in the MIIT database.

The record revealed that The device will support satellite communications. This feature will allow data to be sent and received anywhere in the world, even if there is no internet connection or phone line.

Just like the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15, satellite communication is mainly used to share basic information such as location. This function is used, for example, to contact authorities from anywhere.

However, the MIIT certification does not clarify whether the mobile phone will support two-way communication (sending and receiving content). It is possible that the device can only capture data.

As for technical data, nothing has been confirmed about the Xiaomi Civi 4 so far. However, rumors suggest that the device will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset.

Could be Xiaomi 14 Ultra

The tipster, known as Digital Chat Station on Weibo, pointed out that the identifier 24031PN0DC may belong to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi’s top-end model. If the information is correct, the brand’s most expensive device will have satellite communication support.

In this case, the features of Xiaomi 14 Ultra include Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage.

No release date

There is no release date for Xiaomi Civi 4. However, the Xiaomi 14 series will be introduced on February 25 this year.

As always, the devices are expected to be launched first in China and rolled out to the international market months later.
