OnePlus also took advantage of the showcase presented by Mobile World Congress to introduce its new products. One of the most interesting things that the company presented at this technology event was the OnePlus Watch 2, a new smartwatch with WearOS with which the company wants to put its best foot forward.

The company wanted to use Google’s platform for its smartwatches, which, following its Android mobile phones, wants to offer users one of the most interesting smartwatch ecosystems. It is also an ecosystem that more and more manufacturers are betting on and attracting a large number of developers.

The OnePlus Watch 2 is a high-end smartwatch, so the company hasn’t skimped on design and materials. The watch has the same K-shaped design as the OnePlus 12 series. It is made with a stainless steel base for greater resistance to rust and corrosion and has a 2.5D sapphire glass back. The entire assembly is also certified to the latest US military standard MIL-STD-810H.

OnePlus Watch 2: up to 100 hours of battery life and WearOS

But the most notable thing about this OnePlus smartwatch is the battery. It far exceeds, at least on paper, the estimated lifespan of most of its WearOS competitors, promising up to 100 hours of continuous use with all features included; or up to 48 hours with intensive use. In terms of charging, it is compatible with 7.5W VOOC fast mode and can be fully charged in 60 minutes.

The rest of the specifications are completed by a dual processor consisting of a high-performance Snapdragon W5 processor and an efficient BES 2700 MCU processor, while the package is complemented by 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM.

Like other smartwatches, it is very focused on being used for measuring physical activity and monitoring health. However, the OnePlus Watch 2 works with the company’s OHeath app, although it is fully compatible with Android Health Connect, allowing you to sync data with other compatible Android apps.

In terms of features, OnePlus Watch 2 includes measurement and tracking modes for over 100 sports such as badminton, running, tennis, skiing and others, as well as others that are more specific to specific sports. For example, during a race, the watch will allow you to measure data such as ground contact time, ground balance or maximum oxygen consumption, and others.

OnePlus Watch 2 will be available in Europe, India and North America in Black Steel and Radiant Steel for €329.
