There are months left before its official launch, but Galaxy Z Flip 6 designwhich will be Samsung’s next “clamshell-style” foldable device, was first spotted in some leaked renders that also reveal some of the features that will be included in this smartphone.
In particular, renderings were shared SmartPrix, and were created based on internal device information. And while there may be some changes, the images show that The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have the exact same design as the Galaxy Z Flip 5.. That is, the brand’s next foldable smartphone will have a folder-shaped external screen, a dual camera and flat aluminum frames.
There are a few interesting little changes though; The power button, which also doubles as a fingerprint reader, may be tactile rather than physical. The dimensions of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will also be different from the Z Flip 5. It will be 165.0 x 71.7 x 7.4 mm thick, compared to 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm for the Z Flip 5. That is it will be lower and narrower, probably because the screen bezels will be smaller, since the Galaxy Z Flip 6twill have the same 6.7-inch screenWith. It’s also thicker, although there’s a reason for that.
Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have a larger battery
According to the aforementioned portal, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will arrive with a larger battery. It will be 4000 mAh. compared to the 3,591 mAh included in the Z Flip 5. So, this increase of around 400 mAh will put an end to one of the most negative aspects of this type of foldable device – poor battery life.
As for technical specifications, no details other than screen size and battery capacity have been disclosed yet. However, it is likely that Samsung’s next foldable smartphone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor or Exinos 2400 which Samsung also includes on the Galaxy S24. It is expected to retain the same camera configuration with a wide-angle sensor and another ultra-wide-angle camera. It’s unclear whether Samsung will opt for new sensors to take advantage of the fact that they have increased the thickness of the device.
There are currently no details about its release date or availability, although it is likely that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be announced in August.
