According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro handsets may feature a main sensor with multi-layer-based anti-reflective coating. Theoretically, technology It has the ability to improve light transmittance to reduce ghosting during image capture.

This feature will act as a kind of filter that will better measure the effect of light in photos and videos. Like this, images are expected to be of higher quality and have less blurring or “ghosting” caused by light sources.

The technology will be possible thanks to the special 50 MP OmniVision sensor that Xiaomi will include in these devices. This sensor should be 1 to 1.3 cm wide.

The sensor with anti-reflective coating will also be included in the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the most advanced device of the series. This will also feature a periscopic lens, which could make the handset a strong competitor for new high-end phones from Samsung, Apple, Oppo, Huawei and others.

Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro will be the first mobile phones to be released with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The smartphones will be announced in China in October, and the 15 Pro is expected to be launched only next year. All models will feature Xiaomi AISP, which relies on artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the quality of photos and videos.

In terms of display, the standard variant is supposed to have flat edges while the Pro is supposed to have curved edges.

Manufacturers are increasingly investing in cameras

In recent years, almost all major mobile phones on the market have started using the same chipset, making them quite similar in terms of processing power.

For this reason, the camera has become an increasingly decisive element for a large segment of society. With each generation, sensors receive new technologies to deliver professional-quality photos and videos. Proof of this is that small manufacturers already compete on equal terms with Samsung and Apple in this segment.
