Samsung, Google, Honor; And now Oppo. The Asian company announced its plans to introduce generative artificial intelligence functions into all lines of devices, including functions of models of its own development and collaboration with such manufacturers as Microsoft, Google or MediaTek. The expansion, Oppo confirmed, will impact more than 50 million users throughout 2024.

Soon both Renault 12 series like a series Find X will include artificial intelligence features and products developed by Google itself, including Gemini, the company’s language model that directly competes with ChatGPT. Oppo smartphones will also include artificial intelligence features for writing and summarizing.

Microsoft, for its part, will take over some of its functions.A, which are based on GPT, OpenAI’s language model, on the brand’s mobile phones. One of them is voice and text conversion, as well as a feature that will allow desktop artificial intelligence to be connected to smartphones and other brand products.

Oppo too entered into a partnership with MediaTek to customize chips that can improve the efficiency and performance of the artificial intelligence models that the company embeds in its smartphones.

Oppo already has artificial intelligence features in its smartphones

In any case, Oppo has been integrating generative AI capabilities into some of its devices for some time now. They are primarily focused on image editing. Currently users can use OPPO AI Eraser, which allows you to remove unnecessary elements in an image or fill in gaps. Users can also use an artificial intelligence tool that generates text for social media.

Oppo is of course not the only manufacturer that integrates artificial intelligence features into its smartphones. Samsung also announced a suite of tools for its Galaxy phones, including a Circle to Search feature that lets you circle an item on the screen for a quick Google search. It also has a real-time call transfer feature or the ability to create AI-powered summaries in the notes app.

Google, for its part, includes features in its Pixels such as a magic eraser that allows you to remove objects or any element from an image, as well as annoying background noise in videos. Google’s AI is also capable of recognizing the best shot in a photo and altering it so that everyone looks good in the image.
