Apple four different ways to format a website
But just below the title of the web page, in the action menu, there is a small option button Deploying a special function to share a website in PDF or web file format.
There are actually four options:
- Automatic.
- PDF.
- I’m reading the PDF.
- Web archive.
If you select “Automatic” the system will choose the most appropriate format for each application you decide to share a website with.
Sharing any web page in PDF format is a very useful trick
Once you’ve chosen the format you want, let’s say “PDF” for example, you can continue the process as you would in any other case. You can share the resulting PDF in Messages, Mail, Notes… Just like you normally would.
This is a trick for iPhone and iPad that comes in very handy when working on your business projects. Graphs, statistics, infographics, architectural plans, contracts, regulations… The possibilities are endless!
But as we said, the iPhone and iPad operating systems are usually responsible for converting a website directly to PDF when necessary.
Extra bonuses
Another way to quickly share a PDF file from a Safari website is to take a screenshot. Apple has introduced a new feature that lets you take a screenshot of an entire web page and share it in PDF format.
To do this, simply take a screenshot and click on the thumbnail in the bottom left corner. Select “Full Page” at the top of the screenshot and that would be it. It’s that easy! As you can see, iPhone and iPad make it very easy to increase our productivity.
