Hello, Moto! Motorola have released a teaser trailer for the event, which will take place next week, on Thursday, August 29. If you’re a Motorola fan and are looking forward to seeing new devices hit the market, well, as the old Southern TV anchors say… you better tune in. At least three new phones are rumored to debut next week: Motorola Edge 50 Neo, Moto G35 5G and Moto G55 5G.

Before you get too excited, though, know this: Few of these devices are likely to be released in the United States. Motorola is launching many new phones every year, but many of them are intended exclusively for overseas markets. With that out of the way, let’s move on.

The trailer shows several color options, presumably for the Edge 50 Neo, including Poinciana (a red similar to the poinsettia), Peach Fuzz (Motorola x Pantone Color of the Year for 2024), Latte, and Nautical Blue. Additional details come from YTECHB, which believes the device will feature a 6.4-inch POLED display, a base configuration of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and a 4,310mAh battery.

Next up is the Moto G35, which is expected to come in a few variants. The first is a 4GB RAM/128GB storage variant, followed by an 8GB/128GB version and an 8GB/256GB version. Sources say it will be available in Guava Red, Leaf Green, and Midnight Black (all of which ironically sound like new Pokemon games).

The Moto G55 5G is expected to launch in Smokey Green, Forest Gray, and Twilight Purple, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Another reliable leakster shared renders of the Moto G55 5G, but unfortunately, his post on X has now been deleted. It showed a punch-hole camera and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button.

While expectations may still be a bit muddled, one thing is for sure: August 29 will be full of news related to new Motorola phones, many of which offer a lot for your money. Considering that it’s already been a year of record-breaking phones, Motorola has set the bar very high.
