It’s here, it’s official, on September 10th Huawei unveiled its the first triple folding cell phone: He Mate XT Ultimate Designwhich can be expanded into a full-size tablet and integrated into a traditional phone.
The phone has a 10.2-inch display, the first and largest foldable display on a smartphone. You can use it as a 6.4-inch or 7.9-inch phone.
The company has an OLED panel with an LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM brightness control, and a maximum touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

The device weighs only 238 grams, which is lightweight and practical. It also features an LTPO OLED display with 1.07 billion colors, a P3 wide color gamut, high-frequency PWM brightness control at 1440 Hz, and a maximum touch response of 240 Hz.
It also features Tiangong (heavenly sacredness) hinge technology and Mate XT triptych. It supports double hinges that allow the folding material to be folded inside and outside. The hinge is based on a rod structure, which greatly reduces the space for movement and ensures stability.
Another advantage is the design of sliding rollers for folding and unfolding the device. This mechanism reduces the rotation of the bow and ultimately reduces the thickness of the hinge. Thus, the device has a thin and light body.
Camera and memory
The Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design features a triple-lens setup housed in an octagonal camera module. The frame consists of a 50MP (f/1.4-4.0) + OIS main camera, a 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP periscope sensor.
The rear camera section supports 5.5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie sensor with multiple shooting and video modes.
It also runs HarmonyOS 4.2 software. The chipset details are unknown, but it appears to be the Kirin 9010 5G. The phone has 16GB of RAM and comes in three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
In terms of battery, the device comes with a 5600mAh battery with support for 66W super fast charging and 5W wired reverse charging. Users can also choose wireless charging with a 50W power adapter or 7.5W wireless reverse charging.
