OnePlus 13 officially announced in China, no surprises

Weeks of intense leaks passed, leaving the presentation on this Thursday, October 31, not something unexpected, but rather a confirmation of everything we already knew: in China OnePlus 13.

The top model has a black slider design, flat edges and a round rear camera housing. The biggest design-related upgrade should be the IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it the first OnePlus flagship to be waterproof since the carrier version of the OnePlus 10 Pro.

OnePlus 13 uses a processor Snapdragon 8 Eliteand OnePlus claims the chip and Color OS 15 deliver the smoothest Android experience possible.

• The OnePlus 13 ups the ante again with a 6,000mAh silicon battery, with OnePlus claiming 1.96 days of use. When your battery runs low, you can catch up again with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
• The OnePlus 13 also offers magnetic wireless charging through optional cases.

The display also offers 1600 nits of brightness in high brightness mode and 4500 nits in maximum brightness mode.

For now, the new flagship phone is only available in China, with prices ranging from CNY 4,499 ($632) for the 12GB/256GB model to CNY 5,999 ($843) for the 24GB/1TB variant. In contrast, the OnePlus 12’s starting price was RMB 4,299 ($604) for the 12GB/256GB model.

Expect to find the OnePlus 13 in Black, Blue, and White color options. The Black model has an ebony textured glass back, the Blue model has a velvety leather finish, and the White model is available with a silk glass back.
