Apple recently updated He MacBook Pro with new M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. However, these devices do not bring any notable new features in terms of design or display. We will have to wait until 2026 for this. This was stated by Mark Gurman in his weekly newsletter.

Journalist Bloomberg claims that in two years we will see the first MacBook Pro with OLED screen. This information coincides with previous rumors, which emphasized that the company one could bet on this technology as early as 2026.. Remember that MacBook Pros now feature a mini-LED screen, which, in addition to higher brightness and better contrast, is more effective at creating areas where blacks are actually different from the pixels.

The difference is that OLED screens are even more efficient. because the pixels work independentlywhile the pixels of mini LED panels work in groups, which inevitably results in light streaks appearing on the black areas surrounded by some colored element. OLED panels can also provide greater contrast and brighter colors.

MacBook Pro 2026 will be thinner

Another change coming to the MacBook Pro in 2026 is design. While Apple won’t be completely changing the look, yes you can make it thinner to create a beautiful design. The company has redesigned the iPad Pro to make it thinner, and the iPhone 17 is expected to arrive next year in a “thin” version that is thinner than other models.

However, it is unclear how Apple will make the MacBook Pro thinner without sacrificing ports, since the device has connectors such as HDMI or an SD card slot.

In the meantime, we repeat, the company has updated the MacBook Pro with new processors: M4 and M4 Pro chips including recently updated models such as the iMac or Mac mini, as well as the new M4 Max chip. These processors are ready to receive Apple Intelligence features, which the company has already begun to implement.

MacBook Pro also features a new 12-megapixel Centered Framing camera that can track human movements with an ultra-wide-angle sensor. The equipment will go on sale this week at prices starting from 1929 euros.
