Realme GT 7 Pro: reviews of the first Snapdragon 8 Elite in Mexico

The feeling of owning a premium product is fantastic. You know that what you have in your hands is the best of the best. Well, that’s the feeling I have now when I taste the real world. I’ve been testing the Realme GT 7 Pro for almost two weeks and this is my first opinion on Realme’s 2025 high-end smartphone.

The Realme GT 7 Pro’s screen is fantastic. The colors are vibrant and there are several options to customize the color to suit each user’s taste. The refresh rate is 120 Hz, so the animation when prowl via apps or web page they look very smooth. There are some aspects of the software that I’ve seen on other phones that I’d like to see on mid- and high-end Realme phones, especially the reading mode that makes the screen appear black and white, but that’s just a very personal desire. I think the Realme GT 7 Pro has the features you are looking for in a high-end model.

Now the panel technology is AMOLED, and the resolution is from 2K to Full HD+. Of course, there are premium phones with higher pixel density, but honestly, I think the Realme GT 7 Pro has it all. Yes, there are screens with more pixels, but unless you look at the specs, I don’t think you’ll notice the difference.

As for the design, I think this is a phone with a very premium look, but I don’t notice that it’s too bold or purposeful, forgive the redundancy. The frames and lid are made of aluminum, although the specifications say glass, in my opinion it has a metallic finish that is very similar to aluminum. The camera module is stylish, but very similar to what you’d find in high-end models. Comparing it with other Realme, I think the Realme 13 Pro+ is a bit bolder.

Realme GT 7 Pro: how good are its cameras?

Realme GT 7 Pro looks very premium when it comes to the camera. I’m fascinated by its 6x hybrid zoom telephoto lens. Below you will find photos of the Morisco kiosk in Mexico City. The detail that the Eagle phone captures is truly fantastic. You can use 120x digital zoom, which while you’ll naturally lose detail, it’s just great to have a phone capable of capturing images at that distance.

Other zoom options are 2x (with excellent results) and 3x (also with excellent results). You can zoom in on the photos and you’ll still see a stunning level of detail. And be careful, I did not use the high resolution mode, which uses 50 megapixels of each sensor, but it should be clarified that in this configuration the additional zoom is 3x.

The cameras also work great at night. I suggest you look at the 3x and 2x zoom and try to read what is written on the red diamond-shaped sign (Danger, high-voltage Light and Power cables, phone is illegible). I think these are fantastic results captured quickly, but keep in mind that in Night mode the maximum optical zoom is 3x.

Where I do notice very consistent results is when using a wide angle both day and night. And while these are useful photos, once you zoom in to see the details, you’ll see some focus issues or noise around the edges.

I also tried the portrait mode and found it to be a good experience, with the bokeh effect highlighting the person well. I’ll post some results once I continue testing the Realme GT 7 Pro and update this review.

On the video side, you can record up to 8K at 24fps. 4K at 60fps looks good. Perhaps the only detail is that, unlike other high-end cameras, the selfie camera can only record in 1080p at 60fps.

Overall, I think the Realme GT 7 Pro offers a fantastic photography experience that will not leave any user dissatisfied. And if you like to take photos from a distance, the 6x telephoto lens will be a lot of fun.

Realme GT 7 Pro: battery and performance

In terms of battery life, Realme GT 7 Pro is at the forefront. The nearly two days of use I got from it set the standard for how long a high-end 2025’s battery should last. Additionally, in the tests I ran, 120W fast charging charged the battery in 36 minutes. In 17 minutes I went from 7% to 71%. Wow, I think due to the charging speed and battery life, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to leave the house with a charger.

When it comes to performance, it is clear that the Snapdragon 8 Elite offers impressive performance. If you like games, you can play here. Genshin Impact at a stable 60 frames per second in 720p resolution. I know the resolution may seem low, but let’s not forget that we’re talking about a battery-powered cell phone. Even the laptop I’m writing this review on (AMD Ryzen 7 with GTX 1650) can’t run Genshin Impact at that resolution on battery power.

Realme GT 7 Pro: first opinions

My first impression of the Realme GT 7 Pro is very positive. This high-end doesn’t disappoint in any aspect, but rather shines in several. Personally, I’m enamored with the 6x telephoto lens, fantastic battery life and charging speed – practically a role model for long range in 2025.

The truth is that there is still a lot to be said about the Realme GT 7 Pro. I’m particularly intrigued by the AI ​​editing capabilities and want to know how good the results are. However, for now, I think that if you choose this high-quality option, especially now that Christmas shopping is approaching, you will be very pleased.
