Apple has been in a legal battle with Gradiente for years, awaiting a hearing to determine which of the two companies produced the first iPhone in history.

Eugênio StaubGradiente CEO expressed how he feels about the legal dispute with Apple in an interview with Folha de S. Paulo, saying that even Brazilians do not know whether the company’s iPhone is a genuine or fake iPhone and whether it is a scam. .

What was the first iPhone in history?

Gradiente launched its iPhone in Brazil in 20007 years before Apple’s iPhone was released. It was called Gradiente iPhone and they were sold according to its CEO 30,000 pieces in a few months.

But the huge popularity of the bitten apple giant led many Brazilians to accuse Gradiente of wanting to take advantage of the situation and make money at Apple’s expense. This shouldn’t actually be the case. And there is evidence to prove it. iPhone wasn’t the first iPhone in history.

This is now a legal issue. And it doesn’t matter which of these two phones was marketed before. The important thing here is the patents, and it turns out that Gradiente did not register the patent for the “Iphone” brand until 2008. Interestingly, a year later, Steve Jobs surprised the world with his own iPhone.

People know this story and say Gradiente is a Brazilian company, so it must be a scam, right?

Eugênio Staub said that when Apple introduced the iPhone, his company no longer sold phones. However, this changed in 2012 when Gradiente began marketing the second version of its Android smartphone called the “Gradiente iPhone”.

Steve Jobs launched a sensational product. He is a genius of our generation and future generations. However, this does not change the fact that we have previously launched a similar product with the same name. Brazil does not recognize many of its own innovations.

How could it not be otherwise? Apple has officially requested the country’s regulatory body to invalidate and withdraw the Brazilian brand’s registered iPhone patent. Meanwhile, it resulted in the loss of exclusive rights to the brand in Brazil in 2013. Since then, the two companies have been locked in a legal battle that does not have a set trial date for now.
