One UI 7 introduced a huge number of features and improvements for Samsung phones. And, although it cannot yet be installed on the vast majority of devices, it has already established itself as one of the most important updates recent years. Little by little, thanks to the beta version, we are learning the details that make this software a real miracle. Today it’s time to talk about Wi-Fi networks.
But the fact is that users who have already been able to update their Samsung to One UI 7 Beta reporting changes and improvements that the company itself has not announced. A good example is new Wi-Fi filtera very interesting utility for all those who are going to connect to a router in a densely populated network area. City centers or large offices are ideal locations for a new feature.
Essentially, Samsung has implemented a simple – and very useful – filter to check the networks that appear as available on your mobile phone. With this, One UI 7 gives you the ability to filter between secure open networks, WiFi 6, WiFi 7, 5GHz band, 2.4GHz band, etc.
Why do you need this filter? Well, this is a really useful feature when you are trying to find a specific Wi-Fi network and the others collapse the list of available ones. Do you just want to see networks without a password? Then you set the filter to “Open networks” and that’s it.. For some reason, do you prefer to connect only to the 5 GHz band? Thanks to the new filters, you can only see Wi-Fi that meets these criteria.
Filter secure networks It is one of the most interesting because it allows you to filter only those Wi-Fi that are not susceptible to possible attacks or have low security. For example, you can apply the “safe” and “open” filters to find those Passwordless connections with less risk.
When will One UI 7 arrive on my Samsung?
Unfortunately, taking advantage of this feature and the rest of the improvements implemented in One UI 7 you still have to wait. Currently, the beta phase works, however, only in countries such as Germany, the USA and South Korea. Soon must also arrive in Spainbut you may not want to install trial versions with bugs and errors everywhere.
It’s better to wait for the phase stable and officialalthough this will also take the most time. According to the latest leaks and knowing Samsung’s current activities, One UI 7 could start arriving on the company’s mobile phones in early February 2025.. This date is, of course, for the most important devices.
If you have a Samsung mobile phone that is many years old or belongs to the middle class, you might have to wait a little longer. However, for now, it’s best to wait for the company itself to confirm any official details and it’s best to put One UI 7’s stable rollout on the calendar.
