Anchor reached CES 2025 with one of the craziest power supplies we’ve seen in a long time. It’s as big as it is feature-rich, but the really unusual aspect of the design is that the built-in USB-C cable can be used as a convenient strap. It comes with a new charger with multiple ports and even a display that’s powerful enough to quickly recharge the new power bank. I watched both.

Eat many to get to grips with Anker’s newest power supply, and it’s hard to know exactly where to start. Most likely, the first thing you will notice is its significant size and weight. It’s almost as long as iPhone 16 pro maxand its rectangular shape makes it look more like a compact Bluetooth speaker than a power bank. It’s an awkward shape, as is the weight of 592 grams.

The reason for its volume is the whopping 25,000 mAh inside, which is enough to fully charge the battery. iPhone 14 more than four times. It also has enough endurance to fully charge the battery. Apple MacBook Air 13 inches. This makes it incredibly versatile, as long as you have the space to store it when you’re on the go. On the technical side, the Power Bank has a total power of 165 W at your disposal and is compatible with Power Delivery and PD-PPS, Quick Charge and UFCS fast charging.

What about the cables? There are two USB-C cables built into the case, a third USB-C port on the side, and a USB-A port. At a quick glance, it looks like there’s a carrying strap attached to the side, but the end detaches to reveal a heavy-duty 15cm long charging cable. At the top of the charger, another USB-C connector is magnetically attached to it, and when you pull it out, you’ll find that it is connected to a 70cm self-retracting cable. If you’re only going to charge two devices using the Power Bank, you won’t have to carry more cables with you.

On the front panel of the Power Bank there is a color TFT display, controlled by a single button on the side of the case. It shows the amount of power remaining in the power supply, connections used, charging speed, internal temperature and overall battery health, including the number of charge cycles. For many people this is probably overkill for a power bank, but it is also probably the only power bank most people will ever have to buy.

Anker 140W Wall Charger with Screen

When it comes to recharging your Anker power bank, Anker’s new 140W wall charger gets the job done. When connected to a Power Bank, it delivered over 90W of power and fully charged it from empty in less than two hours. Four ports are available, all on the bottom of the wall charger, with two USB-C connectors capable of delivering a full 140W of power, a third USB-C delivering 40W, and a USB-A connector delivering a maximum of 33W of power. Power Delivery 3.1 and UFCS fast charging.

The GaN wall charger is surprisingly compact, especially with the tips folded, and the many connection options make it versatile enough that you won’t need a charger very often. On the front panel there is a color screen that displays charging data, temperature and an overview of the time spent on charging. You swipe the section below the screen to change the view and it’s really responsive.

Placing the connectors at the bottom of the charger makes sense as it prevents the charger body from pulling cables out of the socket and also works well when the charger is plugged into an upward-facing socket. However, it is a little awkward to connect another cable when it is in a horizontal position without first unplugging it from the socket. I like the bright screen and reasonable weight at 275 grams, plus it comes with a USB-C cable.

Prices and availability

Both new chargers meet Anker’s usual high build quality standards and feel really durable, with plenty of internal temperature controls to keep them safe. The Anker 140W Wall Charger with Display, the first charger of its kind to feature such a device, will go on sale January 7th for $90. The huge, innovative and versatile Anker 165W power supply will also go on sale on January 7th for $100.

It’s great to see the company experimenting and innovating in charger design and functionality, and these two new chargers follow Anker’s excellent six-port 200W main charging station and Wi-Fi-equipped 250W charging station.
