The decline in capitalization of ASML, a recognized leader in the field of lithography equipment for the production of the most advanced semiconductors, is a consequence of the US’s tough policy against all companies supplying modern technologies to China.

ASML sells advanced lithography systems to China, one of the reasons for its recent success in the country’s semiconductor industry. The vendor’s shares fell even after the company reported that orders in the second quarter rose 54% from the first quarter to 5.57 billion euros (about $6.1 billion), beating estimates.
