Oppo doesn’t want to go another year without a foldable folding device that can compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. After the launch of Find X8 Pro, the company plans to announce soon Oppo Find N5which will stand out, among other things, for its design and incredible thinness, as we have seen in some images recently published on Weibo.
It was Zhou Yibao, Oppo’s chief product manager, who boasted about this asset, which will appear in the next foldable device. In particular, the leader shared several photos on his profile of the aforementioned Chinese social network as a teaser, in which shows part of a smartphone next to the iPhone 16 Pro Max with the purpose of allowing users to verify the exaggerated difference in thickness before it is officially announced.
The images clearly show that when Oppo Find N5 is opened, will be half the thickness than the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Although Yibao did not reveal the dimensions, the Apple model is 8.3mm thick, so the foldable Oppo could be around 4 mm approximately with the screen folded and approximately 8 mm with the terminal completely closed.

Oppo Find N5 will be as thin as a USB C port
Oppo’s product director essentially made it clear that they have not set a thickness limit for the Oppo Find N5. but the USB-C port. Therefore, this means that the terminal will be as thin as the aforementioned reversible connector.
If that were the case, we’d be talking about the thinnest foldable device in the world, surpassing the Honor Magic V3, which is 4.5 millimeters thick when fully opened. This is extremely important for one reason in particular. Folding phones of the “book” type, that is, in which the screen opens in a horizontal format, as if it were the cover of a book, have a significant thickness when closed.
Reduced personnel, of course The thickness is also reduced to a minimum when the smartphone is folded.making it much more convenient to carry in your pocket or even use without an extended screen.
At the moment, we don’t know more details about Oppo’s next foldable device. It will most likely be equipped with the latest Qualcomm processor. Snapdragon 8 Eliteand this is down to a new camera system as well as an improved internal screen. All indications are that the terminal could debut in February or March.
