The new Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 surprises by being the thinnest foldable smartphone to date.

It’s been a busy week for the foldable smartphone market. Just a day after Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, Xiaomi did the same to try and outshine the Koreans’ presentation, and to a certain extent it succeeded. The Chinese company introduced Xiaomi MixFold 2a terminal that stands out mainly for its thinness.

Today, one of the biggest disadvantages folding this is exactly how wide they are when folded. They take up a lot of pocket space, which can be inconvenient for some consumers. This is the price you pay for a device that offers a large screen when unfolded. However, Xiaomi has begun to address this issue.
